Florist briefing Classic Bouquets guests at the Auckland Lark & Lily studio

How we brief Classic Bouquets without spoiling the first wrap

Bouquets

Classic Bouquets opens with a corridor brief, not a tour of the first wrap. We name the stem ticket, the message tray, and when to ask for a card. We do not name a secret grower, the radio channel, or the cooler marking that starts the run. Holds are written on the Auckland board for same-week collection if you send a stem count before Thursday. Saturday still gets the extra crate after nine. Lark & Lily sells the hour we can staff that week; we do not swap Desk Plants into a Classic Bouquets hold unless you ask. If a group stalls, the florist stays on mail rather than walking into a substitute job. That is the whole brief: start the ticket, watch the buckets, and leave the first palette for the guests.

Why the extra Saturday crate lands at nine

Hours

The first Saturday wraps leave the studio before eight in the evening. By late afternoon the board is thin, so we add a smaller extra crate at nine. That slot still runs a full sixty minutes; we do not cut the clock to fit a seventh group. Weekdays stay nine to eighteen, and Tuesday morning stays a market count. Write a day ahead if you need a named hold for one cooler. Lark & Lily would rather list a shorter Saturday than put a group into a crate they did not book. The florist on mail duty for the nine o'clock run is the same florist who reset the buckets after the previous hour. If Classic Bouquets is already held, we will not move you into Wedding Florals without asking. That is why the extra crate lands at nine and not later.

Groups

A weekday group hold usually needs the names and a stem count three working days ahead so the florist can staff the mail. Desk Plants will not pack eight rumours. Local Delivery holds five. Sympathy Tributes is built for four. We write the count on the Auckland card and we skip a second cooler on the same hour if the studio is already full. Quiet family groups stay in the quieter weekday slots. Write the date, stem count, and which bench you want; Lark & Lily will confirm what the studio can actually pack that week. We will not start a wrap short of the minimum, and we will not add a late guest after the clock has started. That calendar is why a Thursday wedding party still gets a full sixty minutes.

Studio

Classic Bouquets, Wedding Florals, Local Delivery, Sympathy Tributes, and Desk Plants come off the clock in two packing windows. We restock buckets on request between hours. Day-old holds move off the board after three if the group does not confirm. Crate duty stays on a labelled desk with a florist card. Group talks for nearby celebrations are arranged by email, not during the evening queue. The studio rests on Tuesday mornings with the files. That calendar is why the afternoon wrap is still packed after work. Lark & Lily opened in March 2018 with Monday to Saturday hours, nine to eighteen. If a stem note fails mid-hour, the florist on mail pauses the clock rather than sending people into a broken cooler.

Bouquets

Sympathy Tributes is built for four calm shapes. The private corner sits on the card at the Auckland till as a review tool, not in a footnote after you sign in. Quieter weekday hours are the slots we keep for family groups and first-time guests who need a slower brief. Ask for a midweek hour if you do not want a Saturday crowd in the corridor. We do not describe the bench as a gentle room; the session is still sixty minutes and the delivery notes still come through mail. Colour on the stems matches the card before you pay. Lark & Lily will not add a fifth rumour on the night. If you need a hold for four, write the names and we will confirm the hour. Monday to Saturday, nine to eighteen, is when that bench actually runs.

Seasonal

Gift Cards rotates through the year as a seasonal tray, not as a sixth permanent hour on the board. We publish the next open on this page about two weeks after the print batch is opened. Holds close when the last sixty-minute slot for that run is taken. A seasonal voucher is a timed print, not a subscription. If the print will not return the following month, we write that on the card instead of stretching a leftover still overnight. Lark & Lily florists brief the tray the same way as Classic Bouquets: tickets, buckets, crates, no spoilers on the first palette. Join the shop list if you want the date. When the run stops, the studio goes back to the five standing benches and Tuesday market sorting.
