A flower studio on the street, not a wholesale auction hall
Open since March 2018
Why Lark & Lily began
Lark & Lily began as a small wrapping bench in a Mount Eden side room after neighbours kept asking for honest seasonal bouquets without a chain-store formula. In March 2018 we settled at 27 Sandringham Road, split the week into market runs, cooler sorting, and local delivery, and kept the same habit: show what we have, label stem counts clearly, and say when a crate is still on the road. We still arrange fresh flowers, simple plants, and care notes from one studio. We do not substitute a bloom on the day unless we tell you first, and we do not take a deposit for a stem we have not received.
- Hand-tied bouquets and loose stems with stem counts written on each ticket
- Wedding florals, sympathy tributes, desk plants, and vase gifts on labelled benches
- Delivery notes and price cards written in New Zealand dollars without franchise claims
Visit 27 Sandringham Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024, or send a weekday question. We do not move a stem into another arrangement without updating the ticket. If a crate arrived late, we say the page is older instead of pretending the cooler is full.
Classic Bouquets
Classic bouquets are the first cooler most guests walk to. We tie seasonal mixes with roses, lisianthus, chrysanthemums, eucalyptus, and soft fillers when the morning crates land. Each ticket shows stem count and whether the wrap is kraft or tissue. Petite bunches sit on a lower shelf so you can compare scale without lifting a tall arrangement. Lark & Lily treats this cooler as retail floristry prepared on site; variety names describe what is in the wrap, not a sponsored partnership. If a featured bloom is short that day, we say so before cutting rather than promising a stem we cannot include that afternoon.
Wedding Florals
Wedding florals are the second bench: bridal bouquets, buttonholes, table runs, and aisle markers planned against a written colour brief. We keep soft whites, blush tones, and greenery when the wholesale list allows, plus a short dried accent tray for winter ceremonies. Stem height is listed on the sheet so you can see how pieces will sit against a dress or table. Fresh mixes are labelled separately from dried accents. Lark & Lily does not treat a quote as a venue booking. If you need matching pieces for a bridal party, write a weekday so we can count stems before the weekend. We will not fold a sympathy tribute into this card without labelling it as a different bench.
Local Delivery
Local delivery covers hand-tied bouquets and plant gifts we carry across Mount Eden and nearby Auckland suburbs on scheduled weekday runs. Boxes are water-lined unless a ticket says dry wrap. We time these windows carefully because blooms sit upright in the van. Lark & Lily does not run a nationwide courier fleet. Routes follow the cooler list when addresses match; central and fringe suburbs sit on separate slots for people who want a quieter drop. Write with suburb, preferred window, and whether you want a card message so the studio can check the van before you travel in. Delivery packing for tall arrangements uses a taller crate than a petite posy.
Sympathy Tributes
Sympathy tributes sit in calm white and soft green palettes, with sheaves, posies, and standing sprays prepared on a quiet bench. We keep a private corner at the till so families can review wording before we leave. Standard sizes are the default; larger sprays are listed on a separate ticket. Lark & Lily will not squeeze six unrelated gift styles onto this card. Ask on a weekday if you need a quieter conversation rather than a Saturday rush. Tributes are floral gifts, not funeral direction services. We store them upright so petals do not crush under other wraps.
Desk Plants
Desk plants and small indoor pots sit near the door for people who want longer-lasting greenery. We list pot diameter on the ticket and whether a saucer is included. Ceramic and recycled options rotate; we do not hold a finish we have not counted. Lark & Lily briefs this as a plant for desks and windowsills, not a landscaping service. Daytime weekday potting is quieter. Care questions go by mail, not during a Saturday queue. We restock Tuesday while the studio is closed for market sorting.
Gift Cards
Studio gift cards are the seasonal extra: simple paper vouchers for birthdays, thank-yous, and quiet celebrations. Values sit on the ticket so you can check the amount before you buy. Lark & Lily publishes remaining card stock on the notes page after the printing batch is opened, not before it arrives. Card values describe spend in the studio. Pre-holds close when that week’s voucher tray is empty. Gift Cards is a limited tray, not a sixth permanent cooler, and we will say when a print run will not return the following month.

Growers, couriers, and studio marks we note
Lark & Lily cites grower tickets, delivery labels, and seasonal colourways when we describe fresh florals. Marks below are decorative labels on this page, not a claim of exclusive contracts or awards
